Apparently 24 hours without front page repeats of the same sellers would be too lofty a task to be accomplished by etsy's employees.

Really, 24 hours can't go by without featuring the same people over and over, etsy? If this was a drinking game I would be completely hammered by now...

I hold out hope sometimes. But with etsy and the front page, well, having hope is just silly. It is a new week. But it is also only Wednesday.

If some asshole on the forums tries to deny that there are front page repeats and then goes on to tell you that it is all in your head, your imagination, or the pit of your deep down dark jealous soul, it simply is not. These are simply a handful of the etsy sellers who constantly are given free promotional time on the front page. It is an unfair business practice. It isn't that you are jealous, or that you take substandard photos, or make lousy product, or have a shop name that contains numbers (yes, honey, you are treading into cuckoo conspiracy territory when you suggest that one). It is just favoritism, and it is wrong.

If you make treasuries, then avoid these shops.

DNBF Front page repeats 1-23-10 to 1-30-10

I'm sure there are more than what I will list here...
These are the front page repeats from the week of 1-23-10 thru 1-30-10.
Shops that are given an unfair advantage by repeatedly being given free promotional time by etsy staff, while the vast majority of etsy sellers haven't seen their items on the front page in multiple months, if not years.

Don't patronize these shops. Do not buy their merchandise. Do not feature them in your treasuries. If they're in your favorites, then I would recommend removing them.
